Happy New Year
As we embark on a new year and we all make our lists of resolutions, (very few of which we follow through on) I know that having a better, stronger, more successful business is on everyones list.
In a day and age of constant change in our industry the importance of education has become even more of a concern. Whether it be from a business standpoint, design, sales, customer service, or employee issues, education must be a top priority for all shops. Please take time to check out some of the opportunities available to you. The Arizona State Florists Association offers the AzMF Certification Program twice yearly which is a great opportunity to improve both your business and your personal abilities. AIFD is offering a program this month at Down's Wholesale in Phoenix that will offer wonderful information from some great industry people. AIFD is also in the process of rolling out a new certification program as a precursor to becoming AIFD, at a mid-level both to improve your design skills, as well as prepare those who wish to go on the become AIFD Accredited .
All these opportunities along with other Teleflora or FTD sponsored programs through-out the year are developed especially to improve shop operations, financial success and your personal performance in the floral industry. Don't let this New Year's Resolution fall by the wayside, focus your attention on education for everyone in your shop and watch your business improve, succeed and be more professional & prosperous. All the best from all of us at ASFA
